Background in economic development, and currently serves as President of Clarksburg Uptown and is an active member of the WV Economic Development Council.

Elisabet Kirk

Vice-President

Registered Nurse. Originally from Lima, Peru. VP of CH. Member of Bridgeport Juniors Club. Member of National Association of Hispanic Nurses- Pittsburgh chapter.

Blanca Skags

Secretary

With a career dedicated to education, Blanca has taught Spanish for 23 years at Taylor County Middle School and Grafton High School.

Zully Robinson

Treasurer

Zully Robinson, originally from Junín, Peru, has lived in Bridgeport, WV since 2015. She is the owner and chef of Miskycha Restaurant and recently began importing Don Domingo Cafe to the U.S. Passionate about her roots, Zully actively promotes Peruvian culture and Latino traditions in her community.

Dr. Yumila Barreto

Board Member

Dr. Yumila Barreto, originally from Venezuela, is an internal medicine physician with an international career. She has practiced in Russia, Venezuela, Cuba, and in recent years, in the United States. She currently works at the Veterans Hospital in Clarksburg, West Virginia, where she provides medical care with dedication and compassion.

Nury Ruble

Nury Ruble is a former Spanish teacher with 8 years of experience in education. Now fully dedicated to real estate, she serves the community with the same passion-helping families find their dream homes as a Realtor with Level Up Realty.

Silvia Guerrero

Board Member

Silvia was born in California and raised in Mexico. She graduated from WVU with a degree in International Studies and now helps run her family’s business, El Rey Mexican Restaurant, with two locations in West Virginia. She lives in Bridgeport with her husband Alejandro, and their sons, Sebastian and Julian. Silvia is proud to support the Hispanic community through Conexion Hispana WV.

Alejandrina Strauss

Board Member

Born in Retalhuleu, Guatemala, Alejandrina is a passionate Spanish teacher ar Notre Dame Catholic School. She moved to the U.S. in 2007 and, alongside her husband Stuart, is raising three wonderful children. She’s dedicated to education, her faith, and preserving Guatemalan culture. Through Conexion Hispana WV, she hopes to inspire others to value their roots and traditions.
