Conexion Hispana is proud to award two $500 scholarships each year. These scholarships represent not only financial support but also our commitment to uplifting and investing in the future of our young leaders.

The Cultural Foundation of Harrison County is funding two Arts Scholarships to graduating seniors from Harrison County Schools. Students must attend a college, university, or technical school with a major in arts, music, performance, or related discipline. Each scholarship is $1,000 and may be renewed for up to four years if the student remains enrolled full-time and in good standing in an arts/arts related college level program.

YCF offers a variety of scholarships to help students acquire a post-secondary education. Some scholarships are designated for graduating seniors of certain schools or those who reside in certain counties. Others are awarded for specific fields of study such as music, veterinary practice or engineering.

LULAC offers a variety of scholarships for high school seniors, undergraduate & graduate college students through our educational arm, the LULAC National Educational Service Centers, Inc. (LNESC).

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is proud to connect students with scholarships funded by our corporate, federal or nonprofit partners. These scholarships can help pay for tuition, books, fees, and other college costs. Awards and requirements vary by scholarship. Whether just starting a college journey or continuing it, HACU is here to support students every step of the way. 

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s Youth Awards award a grant that you can use for college or to fund a community service project. To win this award, you must be of Hispanic heritage and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. The foundation specifically looks for students who excel academically and in their community, particularly in the fields of business, finance, engineering, entrepreneurship, education, health care, science, media, entertainment, social justice or technology.

Colgate-Palmolive is a long-standing partner of the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and has sponsored Haz La U grants for deserving high school students since 2009. HHF is committed to celebrating excellence in the classroom and community with programs like Haz La U through the Youth Awards.

The McDonald’s HACER National Scholarship opens doors and transforms futures with $1 million in scholarships awarded to support up to 100 outstanding students across the country, giving them the boost they need to chase their dreams. There are three tiers of funds, aimed to help recipients finance their college tuition. Tier 1 recipients are awarded up to $100,000. Tier 2 recipients receive $20,000 or $10,000 and Tier 3 recipients receive $5,000. Recipients are selected based on their academic achievement, community involvement, personal statement and financial need.

Applications are open to first generation immigrant students with or without DACA or TPS who came to the U.S. before the age of 16 and before Nov. 1, 2020. The National Scholarship Award will help cover your tuition and fees at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $33,000 for a bachelor’s degree.

Each year, NAHN awards scholarships to active and eligible members who are enrolled in accredited LVN/LPN, associate, diploma, baccalaureate, and graduate nursing programs for the next academic year. Scholarship recipients are a select group of nurses who demonstrate promise of professional contributions to the nursing profession and who have the potential to act as role models for other aspiring nursing students.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited program in medicine, nursing, public health, or another healthcare-related field. Candidates should demonstrate academic excellence, compassion, and a strong commitment to serving underserved or diverse communities.

Dental Student Scholarship Program

The Hispanic Dental Association Foundation (HDAF) Scholarship Program awards scholarships of varying amounts to support students’ education. Administered on behalf of generous corporate partners and individual donors who believe in the importance of providing financial assistance to qualified students. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment and dedication to improving and serving the oral health of the Hispanic community.

The National Dental Association Foundation (NDAF) proudly offers a comprehensive portfolio of scholarships and fellowships to support the next generation of dental professionals. These awards—ranging from $750 to $70,000—are available to pre-doctoral dental students, post-doctoral candidates, and individuals pursuing careers in dental hygiene and dental assisting.

Dental Student Scholarship Program

Due to a generous donation from Dr. and Mrs. Gary Oyster, in 2026, the ADA Foundation launched an education-focused scholarship program designed to address rising dental school debt and other financial challenges that reduce participation in attending dental school.The scholarship program is anticipated to launch nationally in 2027.

ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarships for Predoctoral Dental Students Pursuing Academic Careers, with an application deadline in September, offers 2 awards of $5500 each.

Advancing Women in Science

Awards and scholarships provide visibility and recognition of the contributions of brilliant scientists. They also offer role models and encouragement to the next generation.

Hispanic students interested in STEM programs can take advantage of a variety of scholarships through the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). The GPA requirements for each scholarship vary, ranging from a minimum of 2.75 to 3.0, and some require full-time membership in the SHPE.

Five winners will each receive a one-time $20,000 stipend to put towards undergraduate STEM tuition in their academic year. You do not need to be a U.S. citizen to apply. You do need to attend college (or plan to attend college) in the United States or a United States territory.

ACAESF provides scholarships awards between $500 and $2,500 to both undergraduate and graduate students of Cuban or other Hispanic heritage. You’ll need a minimum GPA of 3.0 to qualify. You can win this scholarship award for up to three years.

La Unidad Latina Foundation offers scholarships of $500 to $1,000 to qualified recipients. They must also be currently enrolled in a qualified master’s or bachelor’s program and maintain at least a 2.8 GPA.

The United States Hispanic Leadership Institute offers two annual scholarship opportunities for college students in the United States and Puerto Rico: the Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarship and the Dr. Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship. These scholarships are designed to support students pursuing higher education and to recognize academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to their communities. Students interested in applying should review the eligibility requirements and deadlines for each scholarship to see which opportunity best fits their goals.

In addition to its culinary excellence, Hyeholde honors its rich legacy through the Barbara KS McKenna Scholarship Program, which awards a $5,000 annual scholarship to aspiring culinary professionals. This program celebrates Barbara McKenna’s lifelong commitment to inspiring the next generation, ensuring her passion for the culinary arts continues to thrive.

Haines Law, P.C. offers a Step Forward Scholarship. It pays $1,000 to one student who is the first in their family to attend college. If you have a GPA of 3.0, you may be eligible. To apply, you need to send a resume and write a 750 to 1,000 word essay that explains why education matters to you. You’ll also need to send in a resume and transcripts from your current school.
